A Stunner! Liverpool 2 - Acrington 7

Culture & Society

Oh yes! Acrington did the unthinkable and the impossible this past Monday. They beat Liverpool in a League Cup Match 7 -3. This is significant because this win comes against a team that has won eighteen League titles, seven FA Cups, and a record eight League Cups. Liverpool has won more European titles than any other English football club, having won five European Cups, three UEFA Cups and three UEFA Super Cups. Even more significant is that Acrington, now managed by Ric Couchman, no longer exists in reality, having resigned from the league in 1893 due to poor league performance and financial difficulties.  However, it has re-emerged as a formidable team on my I-Pad and is unbeaten in the current season with its superstar player Miller (from Brazil of course, though the un-Brasilian-like name beats the hell out of me) leading the league with 100 goals. The Fantasy continues; stay tuned for more league updates.
