Celebrating My 100th Blog Post

Wow! I can't believe that I have posted my 100th blog since I first started blogging in November of last year. I know that others have posted way more, but this is all so new and a very big deal for me, so please pardon my indulgence. I was encouraged to start blogging to promote my recently published book of poetry, Musings from Outside the Universal. However, I wanted my blog posts to be about more than just poetry, for I am a lot more than poet. I am an educator who is also a poet. I am a biker, backpacker, and runner who happens to be a poet. I am a father who is also a poet, and so on. You catch my drift? So rather than focus solely on my poetry, I seized on this blogging opportunity to share the mosaic of experience and interests that define who I am. In that regard I blog on a wide variety of topics, with particular categories in place for each day of the week. As you may have noticed the categories are Religion & Philosophy, Health, Recreation, & Fitness, Science & Technology, Current Affairs, Society & Culture, Education (I was supposed to focus on this category today but chose to highlight my 100th blog post instead; please forgive me.), and the Arts. What is more is that my posts also allow me the opportunity to showcase my drawings and my photographic works, as well as the works or friends. So far the experience has been truly amazing and a lot of fun, and I certainly would like to express my heartfelt appreciation for your support of this undertaking.
