I woke up this morning feeling like 3.6 million bucks. You see, last night I won my 17th Grand Slam...well, vicariously that is, through Ms. Serena Williams. But hey, that was me battling out there on the court too, so please... The alarm woke me up at five, and I jumped out of bed to knock of those annoying three sets of fifty push-up. Then I stared my nemesis (the pull-up) in the face, saying, "Later today, you're going down, buddy." Also, this afternoon I shall be eating my six-mile run for dessert. I certainly demolished the competition last night, and I can do the same today, and tomorrow, and the next day. So watch out, Life's vicissitudes, you're going down! Watch out, difficult circumstances! Watch out, obstacles! I am Serena Williams (I mean, Ric Couchman), and I am going to power my way through you! Last night's win is going to carry me along for several more weeks. Then, let's see.....Mariano Rivera, Usain Bolt. Hmm...can't think of any others at the moment. But those should keep me going. Tiger Woods? Nah! Gotta watch my image. Anyway, I am going to bask in last night's win. Oh, and did you see how calm and composed I (I mean Serena) was during the match? That is one of the lessons right there. Composure, fortitude, and good use of one's head are key ingredients in achieving success. Thanks, Ms. Serena Williams; I owe my victory last night to you.
