A Jewel of a Woman

I met her once.  The impression was lasting.  Her quiet spirit was that which struck me.  She spoke softly, but within was a reservoir of strength and fortitude.  She touched many.  She was a fragrant flower, her life a fragrance and a light to many.  Her's was a life of indefatigable service to others both here and around the world, but it was her selfless service to wounded United States servicemen and women that distinguished her.  Eternal Mother, You saw it fit to relieve her of her service, deeming that she had done enough, more than enough.  Now she nestles and rests forever, safe and at peace in Your bosom, rewarded for her faithful service.  She lived a full and satisfying life, teaching us how to live this life.  She will be missed by many.  Rest in peace, dearest Jewel.  My thoughts and prayers are with those you leave behind, those who loved you dearly.
