Signposts - Pointing Out the Way in Our Life's Journey

Books open new worlds to us. They stir our imagination, stimulate our thinking, and shape our world-view. They are the literary signposts that guide us along our life's journey. Here are fifteen of my favorite books (listed randomly and not in any order of preference). They have each played some small role in influencing my own personal development through life. However, from among them, the one that I would choose (if I were allowed only one) to take with me on a desert island would be...The Mahabharata. How about you? What is your top fifteen list of books (or top five or ten), and which among them would be your choice (if you were allowed only one) in your desert island situation?
